Getting Started with some baby steps:
Twitter:
Create your twitter account, choose a name that relates to the business. The official business twitter account and your personal can be separate.
Download the Twitter app to your phone and do a search on your topic. Follow some to see the kind of content they share. This could give you ideas for blog posts and magazine features. A way to connect with your local audience on twitter is to search for local events on the topic and engage with the followers by commenting. It’s like a conversation. Add a photo to your twitter profile and edit the to have a link to your website. This is how folks will follow back to your site.
Facebook:
Create your business page. If you don’t have one and need help
we can assist.
Download the Facebook Page Manager app to your smartphone. When you post or share something of interest you will have option to post it to your own timeline or to a “Page You Manage”. You can also browse other Pages and “Like As your Page”. Of course you can invite your personal contacts on FB to like your page and ask them to comment and share it also.
Set aside 30 minutes a day to check your apps, follow a few new twitter and comment on one and share something relevant to your intended audience.
